This album is dedicated to wild places, preserving these places for future generations, and at the same time re-wilding -- transforming and turning over pieces of the built environment back to natural ecosystems.

The musical ideas here come from the looping yet constantly evolving patterns that exist at levels both chemical and biological in nature. These patterns that you can hear in the wind and the dense chirping of crickets and the songs of birds.

Acoustically, we tend to shut ourselves off from natural soundscapes in our daily routines with air conditioning, sealed spaces, even heavily compressed music. This album is an attempt to conjure that flow of the ecosystem into a meditative experience. To sing in some biological language. Whether you find this music inspiring or not, please also keep in mind the potential for growth inherent in protecting wild spaces, woods, waters, and creatures small and large, these ecosystems and landscapes that make up our shared Earth.
